About XJTU Security

The Security Department of Xi’an Jiaotong University is a functional department which is under the leadership of XJTU CPC Committee and in charge of the security of the university.

The main responsibilities of XJTU Security are as follows:

1. Organize various educational activities related to legal system, safety knowledge and emergency drills. Enhance the consciousness of legal system, safety awareness and emergency response capability of staff and students.

2. Assist the national security agencies and public security agencies in stopping behaviors that endanger national security and campus security. Cooperate with higher-level public security departments to perform security tasks for major and important activities.

3. Timely mediate and deal with internal public security disputes, maintain public security order in public places of the campus, and deal with those who disturb campus order according to regulations.

4. Implement campus defense construction through security patrol, security facilities and the latest technology. Prevent the occurrence of fire, theft, vandalism and public security accidents and disasters.

5. Draft and revise campus security regulations and documents.

6. Provide review opinions on the safety issues involved in the reports and applications submitted by all the departments of the university.

7. Supervise and guide all the departments to implement various safety measures.

8. Undertake the daily work of Comprehensive Management Committee of Campus Safety.

9. Carry out campus fire safety management work.

10. Manage campus traffic safety and provide corresponding services.

11. Provide campus household registration services for staff and students.

12. Provide management services for mobile personnel of the campus.

13. Lead and manage the daily work of the school guard.

14. Deal with all kinds of unstable incidents and emergencies promptly.
